Weekly Newsletter September 19th, 16th of Rabi Al-Awwal 1446
Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Masjid,
We are moving forward with our Rabbi-ul-awwal special series: learning from the character of Rasoolullah (). The character traits we will focus on this week are his honesty and trustworthiness. Who can have better integrity than the Prophet who was called As-Sadiq, Al-Amin. We knew as a young man, he was a merchant who worked for others and attracted the attention of a powerful Businesswoman, Khadijah (RA), due to his honesty and fair dealings in his work. People routinely left their valuables with him (), because they trusted that he would take care of it.
These two are the hallmark characteristics of a Muslim that Prophet Muhammad () had put great emphasis on. Of the signs of a hypocrite, Prophet Muhammad () has included: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it.
May Allah guide us to be amongst the truthful. May Allah make us of those who guard the amanah of others. Ameen
