We invite the entire community to join us on Friday May 16th, for a special evening to honor and thank Sh. Faqih for his years of service at MIC. There will be food trucks, dessert, and a program after 'Isha. Bring your family and be part of this memorable night.
Sh. Mohammed Faqih joined the Memphis Islamic Center in July 2019 and quickly became an integral part of our community, serving not only MIC but also the broader Memphis Muslim community with dedication and heart.
He stepped in during a critical time, just months before the pandemic drastically altered our lives. Through his steady leadership, Sh. Faqih guided us during those uncertain times, helping us stay connected to our faith while at home, and later, as we returned to the masjid safely.
Throughout his time at MIC, Sh. Faqih played a vital role in moving our community forward and took part in many of our communitys important milestones, including the long-awaited move into our new facility and the opening of our latest expansion. His vision, passion, and unwavering commitment have left a lasting impact.
Though he is now stepping away from his professional role at MIC to pursue other opportunities, we are grateful that he and his family will continue to call Memphis home. His love for this community has been evident in every khutbah, every program, and every heartfelt dua.
May Allah (SWT) reward Sh. Faqih and his family for their tireless service, their sacrifices, and their sincere efforts for the sake of Allah and our community.
