Welcoming The New Hijri Year 1447
====================================
Today is the first day of Muharram, one of the four sacred months in the year mentioned in the Quran and thus, the start of a new Islamic calendar year, 1447. This day marks the beginning of the Hijrah (migration), when the Prophet (PBUH) travelled from Makkah to Madinah in 622 AD.
As we enter this blessed month, with so much uncertainty and hardship around the world, we are reminded that the Hijrah was more than a journey, it was a turning point for our Ummah. It is an invitation for all of us to reflect, renew our intentions, and recommit to living lives rooted in faith, purpose, and justice.
We ask Allah (SWT) to bring great good to the Ummah in this new year, rectify its affairs, and bring relief to those who are suffering. Peace and blessings be upon the one whose Hijrah marks the beginning of our calendar, our Prophet Muhammad, and his blessed family and Companions and all those that follow him until the last day.

While the Dawah Conference continues throughout the weekend, Saturday night features a separate special program focused on global relief and solidarity.
Join Dr. Omar Suleiman, Shaykh Abdirahman Kariye, and Shaykh Anwar Arafat for an evening rooted in purpose, combining powerful reminders, Quran recitation, and collective action.
This is an opportunity to contribute directly to relief efforts for those facing unimaginable hardship. All proceeds raised will go directly to supporting humanitarian efforts in Gaza, Syria and Sudan.

From June 15 to August 10, youth can join in an exciting summer league at Masjid Ar-Rahman.
The Entry League (ages 1012) runs Saturdays from 35 PM, and the Competitive League (ages 1315) from 57:30 PM. For just $100/player, enjoy organized games, jerseys, Grizzlies merch, and more!

On Friday July 25th, Dr. Main Alqudah, President of Guidance College, will be in Memphis giving the Friday Khutbah, followed by a lecture after Maghrib on retirement, student loans, life insurance, cryptocurrency, home mortgage, and much more.
