Mind Your Mind Workshop
Friday, September 13th | 7:30 PM

This workshop by Sr. Nadia Sheikh is open to all youth and parents. The "Mind Your Mind" workshop will address learning and monitoring automatic thinking, linking thoughts to nafs/desires, practicing cognitive behavoral theraphy techniques, and insightful discussions on mental health stigmas and challenges.

Remaining Steadfast in Times of Fitna

ISD welcomes back Dr. Hassan Akbar. He will be giving a lecture about remaining steadfast in times of fitna. 

Imam Hassan has completed his Bachelors Degree in Telecommunication Engineering from New York City College of Technology. He then enrolled in The Islamic University of Arees in 2009, earning his Masters Degree in Islamic Studies and certification in Islamic Inheritance. Imam Hassan has completed his PhD from the American Open University. He is the author of five books, including his most recent, “Developing Morals To Purify The Soul”. Imam Hassan works full time in the Utility industry and is a part-time islamic studies instructor for several universities/institutes. He is the President and Founder of Nafsin Wahida an organization dedicated to re-invigorating Islamic Dawah.
