Message from Outgoing Youth Directors
This is a message of gratitude and transition from your exiting Youth Directors, Omer Zafar and Hajerah Arif.
Alhamdulillah, it has been an honor for us to serve the TC community through YMTC over the past few years. We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in us, and for the opportunity to contribute in whatever ways Allah SWT has allowed.
We are stepping down to focus on and continue our pursuit of higher Islamic education at Miftaah Institute. InshaAllah we look forward to continuing to serve the community after the completion of the alimiyah program, with greater strengths and knowledge to serve the community. In the meantime, we will also be serving as instructors in the AIM Institute Tarbiyah Program at Pillars Academy.
At the end of the day, these positions of service are never about us as individuals—rather, Allah SWT places His servants where He wills, for as long as He wills. We happened to be chosen for a period of time, and now we are blessed to see others take up this great responsibility of serving the youth at TC.
We warmly welcome Hafidh Abid Imam as the new Youth Director. He, along with his wife Sr. Farhha Feroz, and a team full of dedicated members on the Youth Committee, bring fresh energy and ideas to the table. We encourage the community to support him as he becomes acquainted with his new role. Just as we benefited from the help and encouragement of so many, we hope you will extend the same to him as he continues to grow and strengthen youth efforts at TC.
We close with this: whatever goodness came from our time in leadership is only from Allah, and any shortcomings or mistakes are from us. We are honored to have served, and though our role has shifted, we remain here to support in any way we can.
