Jumma Mubaraka!
Oh Allah weve passed the month of Rajab and are now in the blessed month of Shaban. We ask You to accept our prayers for forgiveness from Rajab, we ask you to bless us in this month of Shaban, and grant us the ultimate reward of Ramadan. Oh Allah You are the most powerful and we are indeed weak. Oh Allah you are capable of all things and we are nothing without You. We ask You to facilitate ease in our affairs. We ask for Your light to guide us in every step, in every intention, every thought, and every action. Do not leave us to ourselves even for the blink of an eye. Allow us to not just be of those who live for You, but to be of those who truly are alive with Your remembrance and presence in our hearts, minds, and on our tongues. Oh Allah grant us Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of all that which brings us closer to You.

Entering Shaban and Preparing for Ramadan
As we enter the sacred month of Shaban, we begin our spiritual preparations for Ramadan, a time of immense blessings and mercy.
According to the Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA), Ramadan will begin on the evening of Friday, February 28th, with Taraweeh prayers marking the start of this blessed month. The first day of fasting will be on Saturday, March 1st, and Eid al-Fitr is expected to be on Sunday, March 30th, inshAllah.
May Allah allow us to make the most of this sacred time, increase us in good deeds, and grant us the opportunity to witness Ramadan with open hearts and renewed faith.
Allahumma Ballighna Ramadan (O Allah, allow us to reach Ramadan)!
Traffic & Safety Guidelines for Ramadan
As many of you know, we're in the process of applying for a use permit for LGIC that will allow us to pray Fajr, Isha, and Taraweeh at the masjid. It is crucial that we all know and follow the Traffic and Safety Guidelines, especially during Ramadan. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will jeopardize our ability to continue to pray at and benefit from the Los Gatos Islamic Center. Please take a moment to look over the guidelines and share them with your family and friends as well.

CAIR-CAs What To Do if Your Masjid Is Approached By ICE
ICE, a branch of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, enforces immigration laws and conducts arrests, detentions, and deportations. They often collaborate with other law enforcement agencies.
On President Trump's first day back in office, his administration reversed a policy that protected "sensitive areas" like houses of worship, schools, and hospitals from immigration enforcement. This change aims to instill fear and make immigrants feel unsafe in their communities.
However, ICE agents still need consent or a valid judicial warrant to enter a masjid or private space.
Click here for six things to know if ICE shows up at your masjid.
