Assalamualaikum,
Only 20 days until our FIRST-EVER 5K Eid Run & Walk - as well as our EXCITING Eid Festival - on May 31st!
FAQS:
Q: Do you have to run?
A: No, you are welcome to walk, or run partially and walk partially! No athletic ability required.
Q: What if I want to run for time?
A: Our 5K will be professionally timed via chips in the race bibs
Q: What do I get if I sign up?
A: We will be handing out medals and t-shirts!
Q: Where will the 5K take place?
A: It will begin at ISB, go through the Crosby and Rolling Road area, and end at ISB. Maps will be shared soon and the route will be marked.
Q: Why does the race have an entry fee?
A: All proceeds from the race will go towards building TWO NEW ATHLETIC FIELDS here at ISB for the whole community!
Alhamdulilah, this is an incredible opportunity to come together with the community and celebrate Eid, but its more than that.
Our 1st Annual 5K includes our host Sh. Ismet Ackin (you may know him as the Push-Ups Imam) and whether you decide to run or to walk, every step taken helps support our goal of adding NEW sports fields at ISB!
