Transportation is one of the biggest barriers for people who are experiencing food insecurity. Food delivery is one of the ways our Food Relief Program is helping to meet the immediate and long-term needs of our immigrant, refugee and neighbors in low-income households.
The majority of our food boxes are delivered directly to the recipient family, which requires a pool of dedicated volunteers to make happen.
Volunteer delivery drivers are needed on the second Saturday of each month from 12pm to 3pm. Learn more and sign-up to volunteer on our website.
Delivery drivers are supported by our transition volunteers, who assist delivery drivers in packing food, verifying addresses and locations, and ensuring safe delivery to families' homes. Transition volunteers are also key to making sure the mosque is ready for afternoon prayers!
We are investing in the future of our community by providing humanitarian services that meet the immediate and long-term needs of our immigrant, refugee and neighbors in low-income households. Click here to learn more.
P.S. The simplest way to support the DDIC is to leave us a review on our Google profile. Please consider, as this will help us reach more people in Denver.
