It's simple. We need each other.

Dear Community,
Over the years, we've been blessed to welcome many respected scholars and teachers to our center. After spending time with us, they often say something similar:
"I can't describe it, but there's something special here. I can feel it."
I consider myself a student of beauty. I've been studying it for years, and I'm intrigued by how it draws people in. Real beauty isn't just about appearance. I believe real beauty is what speaks to the heart, what feels whole, and what offers peace. It even gives some the warm fuzzies, and that's okay. I believe beauty (Ihsan and Jamal) is why some places make us feel grounded, why certain people bring comfort, and why sincerity is always recognizable.
We don't always get it right, and we have definitely made our mistakes. But we get the right things right. What matters most is that we keep striving, remain sincere, and hold onto the beauty of what we are building together.
Maybe one day, but right now, we have no chandeliers or plush carpetsjust a simple space where people gather, pray, learn, and grow together (Suhba). Beauty isn't in the decorations; it's in the hearts that fill a space, in the sincerity of the people, in the way a community cares for one another.
And this space exists because of you.
It has always been built and sustained by those who believe in it, see its value, and want it to continue. Every prayer offered here, every lesson taught, andevery heart that finds refuge in this place happens because of the people who choose to support it.
Real beauty isn't just what we see. It brings healing, meaning, and connection, and I believe that's what keeps people coming back.
As we enter the last ten nights of Ramadan, I ask you to help sustain and strengthen this space with your prayers, acts of service, and wealth. If this place has ever given you something meaningful, a moment of clarity, a connection, or a sense of belonging, then consider what it would mean to ensure that others continue to find that here.
When something is beautiful, it calls to the heart. And when we care for it, it continues to give.
May Allah bless you and your families in these final nights of Ramadan and beyond.
With gratitude,
Khalis Rashaad
