Partial Solar Eclipse Program with Salatul Kusoof on April 8th, Monday, from 2:45PM to 3:45PM

Assalaamualaikum,

On April 8th, Monday, A great celestial event is going to happen by the will of Allah. From 2:02PM to 4:31PM, we will experience partial solar eclipse in Glen Allen, VA. The peak of the eclipse is at 3:19PM. This is from among the signs of Allah.

During the eclipse, our beloved Prophet (PBUH) would rush to the Masjid and engage in salat which was 2 rakat with long recitation of the Quran. This salat is known as Salatul Kusoof. He (PBUH) advised us to engage in Salat, Dhikr, Dua and Charity during this time instead of engaging in amusement and celebration.
