Dr. Shabana Mir is Associate Professor of Anthropology and Director of Undergraduate Studies at AIC. She teaches Islamic Studies, Gender Studies, Research Methods, Anthropology, Social Sciences, and Muslim American and Muslim World Literature.
Dr. Eman Abdelhadi is Assistant Professor of Comparative Human Development and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Chicago.
AIC's First Jum'ah Bazaar
You Are Invited!
AIC is thrilled to announce its very first Jum'ah Bazaar, a showcase of local vendors and organizations featuring everything from community organizations to halal food vendors, local artisans and fashion designers. It's the perfect way to spend a beautiful late summer afternoon just steps away from the lakefront in our vibrant Uptown neighborhood on Friday, September 27th from 2-6 pm. Vendors will be announced shortly. See you there!
AIC invites businesses and organizations to participate as vendors. This event is a unique opportunity to promote your products and services to the vibrant Muslim community and the broader Chicago area.
