Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them, narrated that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: The evil eye is real and if anything were to overtake the divine decree, it would be the evil eye. Muslim 2188.
Dua of the Week

The Prophet, peace be upon him, used to seek refuge for al-Hasan and al-Husayn and say: I seek refuge for you both in the perfect Words of Allah, from every devil and every poisonous reptile, and from every evil eye. Al-Tirmizi 2060, and Abu Dawood 4737.
