Ayah of the Week

Allah says: Nay! But you treat not the orphans with kindness and generosity and urge not one another to feed the poor; and you devour the inheritance (of the Orphan) all with greed. And, you love wealth with excessive love. Surah al-Fajr 89: Ayah 17-20.

AbdulAllah Ibn Alshakheer, may Allah be pleased with him said: I came to Allah's Apostle, peace be upon him, as he was reciting: Abundance diverts you (surah Al Takasur). He said: The son of Adam claims, My wealth, my wealth. And he (the Holy Prophet) said: O son of Adam, Is there anything as your belonging except that which you consumed, which you utilized, or which you wore and then it was worn out, or you gave as charity and sent it forward? Muslim 2958.
