The Islamic Society of Kingston Annual General Meeting for 2024 will be held before Ramadan this year on Sunday 3 March 2024 at the Islamic Centre of Kingston starting at 11:00 am InshaAllah.
Below you will find the Agenda. The required reports will be distributed no later than two weeks in advance of the AGM.

Nominations for the two positions up for election this year (Treasurer and Centre Coordinator) can be sent to the elections committee once it is formed. Information about those persons will distributed soon.
To be eligible to vote, membership must be renewed by Feb 4th.

POSTPONED - Townhall meeting

Regrettably, the LDSB team has requested to postpone the event due to the unavailability of some of their team members. We understand the importance of everyone being present for a fruitful discussion, and we respect their decision.
Insha'Allah, we will reschedule the town hall meeting for February, and we will keep you informed about the new date and time.

Remembrance day

January 29th marks the National Day of Remembrance of the Qubec City Mosque Attack and Action Against Islamophobia. Kingston City Hall will be lit up in green to honour this day and remember the victims. Join us at 6 pm with interfaith leaders and friends for Prayers for Peace and Remembrance at the masjid

Sisters Coffee Morning
Wednesdays | 11:30AM - 1:30PM | ISK Masjid | 1477 Sydenham Road
Because a lot of sisters fast on Thursdays, we changed it to be on Wednesdays.
Eid-ul-Adha Donations
ISK is calling for anyone willing to sponsor Eid-ul-Fitr celebration activities, services and/or equipment required for the day.
After reaching out to the community after Eid-ul-Adha, the requests made for future celebrations was quoted to be over $28K.
If there is anyone willing to donate specifically for this event, please email Brock at [email protected]. If you wish to discuss with him privately, please let him know and he'll coordinate with you.
DO NOT PARK ON THE ROAD
We had the visit of a parking bylaw enforcement officer last Friday and they will start issuing tickets to those parked on the road during Friday prayers.
