Qurbani Update
Please note that the masjid will not be coordinating Qurbani this year, as there is currently no one available to dedicate the time and coordination this effort requires.
If anyone is interested in taking on this responsibility, please reach out as soon as possible by emailing [email protected]. Otherwise, we encourage the community to arrange their Qurbani through trusted organizations.
One option is Islamic Relief Canada, which offers Qurbani services both locally and internationally. You can find more information or place your order here:

ISK Senior's Garden Project
The ISK Seniors Group is looking for a few volunteers to help set up the gardening beds at the front of the Centre.

ISK's Annual Hajj Simulation
June 1st, 2025 | 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM | ISK Masjid, 1477 Sydenham Road
Join us for a hands-on, engaging experience that brings the journey of Hajj to life for children and youth!
This event teaches kids about one of the pillars of Islam through an interactive walk-through of Hajj rituals and their significance.
Open to all ages, younger children highly encouraged to attend!

Women's Self Defens Training

Quran Memorization Competition - Congratulations to Our Participants!
This past Monday, ISK and Manar Academy hosted a Quran Memorization Competition award ceremony, where many of our young students in the community were recognized for their hard work and dedication in memorizing the Quran.
Participants were awarded prizes in recognition of their efforts and achievements.
We ask Allah to accept their efforts, increase them in knowledge and sincerity, and bless their families for encouraging a deep connection with the Quran.
May this be a source of ongoing reward and inspiration for our entire community!
Spring Cleaning Update
Jazakum Allahu Khairan to everyone who came out and contributed towards the Spring Cleaning at the Masjid yesterday. From shampooing the carpets inside the masjid, completely re-organizing the library, and cleaning the various other areas inside and outside the building, great progress was made towards maintaining our beautiful Masjid. May Allah reward everyone immensely for their effort, ameen.
As this Masjid, center, and community continue to grow rapidly, we once again encourage you to continue donating generously towards the expansion of the ISK so that future generations of Muslims can continue to benefit and flourish in Kingston. JAK!
