This will be a chance to hear important updates about the Masjid Extension Project, ask questions, and stay informed about the work happening behind the scenes. If youve missed any recent updates or would like more clarity, we encourage you to attend.

Were looking for someone to help with grass cutting and general upkeep of the ISK grounds. This is a flexible part-time job during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.

The ISK Seniors Group is launching free Technology Literacy Classes to help seniors build digital skills and confidence using computers.
Classes will run every Monday and Wednesday starting Wednesday, July 23 until Wednesday, August 19, from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the ISK Centre.

Join us for the ISK Summer Bazaar on Sunday, August 10th, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Islamic Society of Kingston. This free, family-friendly event will feature international food, desserts, crafts, henna, face painting, and more all while raising funds for the ISK Masjid Extension Project.

COMMUNITY WIDE OPPORTUNITIES
The City of Kingston is currently recruiting community members to join two important groups:
Planning Advisory Committee: Advises on land use and planning matters. The City is seeking an Indigenous community representative and a Kingston West urban area representative.
Council Resourcing Review Working Group: Reviews the roles, responsibilities, and compensation of the Mayor and Council.
Applicants must be 18 or older, Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and have lived in Kingston for at least one year. The deadline to apply is July 25, 2025.
