Jumaa (same timings as the ICK) - KCVI near Queen's University, 235 Frontenac St. (entrance on Earl St.); has bus accessibility. Parking is on the street. Bring a prayer mat.
Jumaa (1:30 pm) - Mercy Musalla at the Multifaith chapel near the Military Family Resource Centre. 33 Lundy's Lane, Kingston. Parking is available and there is a bus route through the area. Bring a prayer mat.
**(NEW ADDITION) ISK is pleased to announce that in addition to the other four locations, where currently Juma is offered, we have made arrangement additional location for Juma salat.

Health & Healing
September 26, 2024 - For the 18th year in a row, Kingstons City Council has proclaimed October as Islamic History Month. Inaugurated in 2007, Islamic History Month is a nationwide celebration that seeks to share the history, heritage, and culture of Muslims with fellow Canadians, and Kingston has participated since its inception.
The theme for Islamic History Month 2024 is: Health & Healing. Local events, both associated with this years theme but also with connections to Islamic History in general, are being organized through the Islamic Society of Kingston (ISK), Muslim Societies, Global Perspectives (MSGP, Queens University), Queens University Muslim Students Association (QUMSA), Muslim Medical Association at Queens (MMAQ) and include the following events:
October 1: Illumination of City Hall in Green to commemorate Islamic History Month, starting at 6:30 pm.
October 4: STR!VE Youth Event: Mental Health: How to take care of ourselves. For youth in Grades 7-12 at the Islamic Centre of Kingston, from 6-7:30 pm.
October 11: Prophetic Healing: Lessons from the Sunnah with Shaikh Abubakar Mulla, at the Islamic Centre of Kingston starting at 6:30 pm.
October 24: Celebrating Together: Islamic History Canada 2024, RMC. Note: this event is not open to the public.
October 27: The 20th ISK Annual Bazaar at the Islamic Centre of Kingston, 10 am-4 pm.
TBD: QUMSA Halaqa/Workshop with Imam Abdullah El-Asmar. Stay tuned for details.
TBD: Canadian Muslim Counselling Workshop hosted by QUMSA. Stay tuned for details.
QUMSA will be using their social media (@QUMSA) to highlight the historical contribution of Muslims to the fields of Medicine, Science, and Health and Wellness
