Asalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
Over the past year, our social services team has been working hard to serve the local community, sending meals to those in need, and providing grocery giveaways frequently.
We’ve all been feeling the impact of inflation on our lives, and for many people it’s become financially difficult to keep up with the demands of bills, food, and all of life’s expenses.
“Everything’s become so expensive since all the prices have increased,” said one of the recipients of Ansaar-ul-Birr’s giveaways. “The basket of supplies and the meals provided my family and I a great sense of relief. I appreciate everyone who worked to make this happen.”
With your support and donations, this year alone, Ansaar-ul-Birr has been able to distribute 50+ tonnes of food!
“We also distribute fresh meals to those who are sick,” says Bibi Mohamed, director of Ansaar-ul-Birr.
There’s nothing more comforting than knowing your community is there for you in times of need, and a nice hot meal can feel like a warm, loving hug from your brothers and sisters at Dar-us-Salaam!
