Updates from the Downtown Denver Islamic Center
Assalamu Alaikum masjid plus,
As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to express our gratitude for your contributions to making the Downtown Denver Islamic Center an inclusive, welcoming hub for the Islamic community in Denver.
We also want to give special thanks to:
- Islamic Relief USA for donating turkeys for our November Food Relief Program. 120 families received a free turkey thanks to this partnership!
- SukNuh Catering for catering lunch for all of our Food Relief Program volunteers. If you had lunch with us, please consider leaving them a review as they grow their business.
The winter months always bring an increase in the need for food relief. We're honored to help provide nearly 100 individuals and families with free, culturally-responsive food each month, and we rely on our volunteers to help make our program a success. Thank you to our committed group of regular volunteers who join us each and every month. Would you like to join us in making a difference for neighbors experiencing hunger? Additional details are below.
Thank you again for your support!
The Downtown Denver Islamic Center provides nutritious, culturally responsive food to our immigrant, refugee and low-income neighbors each month, and we need your help!
The winter months always see an increase in the number of people seeking food resources, and our volunteers are critical to ensuring that we can continue to meet this demand.
