Assalam Alaikum Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Upper Westchester Muslim Society follows the Fiqh Council of North America with regards to Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr dates. The first day of Ramadan 1445 is on Monday, March 11, 2024, InshaAllah. 

Isha & Taraweeh at Masjid:
Taraweeh prayer will start on Sunday night, March 10th at the masjid. Please try to come in a state of wudu. Isha Iqamah time is 8:45 PM sharp, followed by 20 rak'aat of Taraweeh prayer and Witr. There will be a short 10 minute khatera after the first 8 rak'aat of Taraweeh.

Community sponsored Iftars will be held every Friday, Saturday & Sunday Insha'Allah. 

UWMS Annual Ramadan Fundraiser
Please join us for our annual fundraiser and Iftar on Saturday, March 23rd. The event will be held at UWMS Community Center Insha'Allah.

Eid al-Fitr:
The last day of Ramadan, according to FCNA, is on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Insha'Allah, we will announce closer to the end of Ramadan plans for congregational Eid al-Fitr prayers to be held at UWMS on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

May Allah SWT grant us all the blessings of Ramadan.
