HELP MAKE OUR IFTARS MORE ECO-FRIENDLY!
Assalam Alaikum,
As we continue our community Iftar gatherings, we kindly ask that all attendees please be mindful of the following:
- Bring Your Own Water Bottle: To cut down on plastic waste, please bring a reusable water bottle. There will be water jugs at each table to refill your bottles.
- Bring Take-Home Containers: If you wish to take home any leftovers, please bring your own reusable take-out containers from home.
- Minimize Food Waste: With famine impacting many parts of the world like Gaza, and food insecurity right here in our own community, we implore everyone to be very conscious about wasting food. Only take what you can finish on your plate.
- Proper Waste Disposal: Please properly sort any waste into the clearly marked bins for recycling and trash.
Please also note that no food or drink is allowed in the Musallah area.
By keeping these reminders in mind, we can all do our part to uphold the values of sustainability, compassion, and mindfulness during this holy month.
