As-SalmuAlaykum,
It is with great sadness that Imam Mahdi Bray has returned to Allah. The outspoken. courageous Islamic activist worked with Dar-us-salaam over the last few decades in support of many noble causes and in particular our newspaper the Muslim Link partnered with him to uplift the voices of the Muslim community. May Allah accept him into Jannatul Firdaus and make his work and legacy an inspiration for others.
May Allah accept Imam Mahdi Bray into His Mercy with no sins and in the highest ranks of goodness, and grant him admission into Jannah. May Allah grant his family patience during this difficult time.
Please keep Imam Mahdi's family in your du'aas.
The Janazah (Funeral) Prayer will be held on, October 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center, 3159 Row Street, Falls Church, VA.
We request the community to use the additional parking at First Christian Church located at 6165 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA.
The burial shall take place at the All Muslim Cemetery in Stafford, VA
"O Allah forgive our living and our dead, those who are with us and those who are absent, our young and our old, our menfolk and our womenfolk. O Allah, whomever you give life from among us give him life in Islam, and whomever you take away from us take him away in Faith. O Allah do not forbid us their reward and do not send us astray after them".
