Turn Table Tunes: Echoes of Juneteenth
We invite you to an evening of sacred sound, storytelling, and cultural reflection as we honor the Echoes of Juneteenth. The discussion explores Black art and community through an Islamic lens.
Echoes of Juneteenth honors the sacred memory of freedom, not only as a moment in history, but as a living rhythm carried in our voices, our drums, our prayers, and our creative expression. Rooted in the deep soil of the South, this gathering is a convergence of sound, story, and spirit, a celebration of Black Muslim presence and the healing power of remembrance.
Through the cinematic direction of Brother Abdurrahman Danquah and the Sacred Odes over Rhythmic Soul by Muhammad Jibreel, we journey through the heart of Ibrahim Centers story, a story of sacred resistance, rooted love, and the unshakable beat of collective hope.
