The Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH) Education Committee is offering a two-day funeral workshop with certification starting on October 20th at Masjid As-Sabireen.
Below are the details of this workshop.
Instructor: Imam Dr. Ehteshamul Haque (ISGH, Religious Director)
Total sessions: 2
Dates: Sundays, October 20th, and 27th, 2024
Location: Masjid As Sabireen, 610 Brand Ln, Stafford, TX 77477
Time: 11 am -1:30 P.M.
By attending this workshop, you will learn the following:
1. Islamic guidance for pre-death and post-death matters.
(اَلْاِسْتِعْدَادُ لِلْمَوْتِ وَاَحْكَامُ الْمُحْتَظَر)ِ
2. Duties of family members, relatives, and friends from the time of death to bringing the body to the funeral home.
(وَاجِبَاتُ الْاَقَارِبِ وَالْاَصْدِقَاءِ - مِنْ وَقْتِ وَفَاتِهِ حَتَّي تَسْلِيْمِهِ اِلَي دَارِ الْعَزَاءِ)
3. Rules and regulations for bathing the deceased person’s body.
(اَحْكَامُ غُسْلِ الْمَيِّتِ وَالتَّكْفِيْنِ)
4. Rules and regulations for shrouding the deceased person’s body.
(اَحْكَامُ التَّكْفِيْنِ)
5. Rules and regulations for Janazah (funeral) prayer.
(اَحْكَامُ صَلَاةِ الْجَنَازَةِ )
6. Rules and regulations for burial of the body.
(اَحْكَامُ صَلَاةِ الْجَنَازَةِ وَتَدْفِيْنِ الْمَيِّتِ)
Those who attend both sessions will receive a certificate of participation.
