Plus, Volunteers Needed During Ramadan
Assalamu Alaikum masjid plus,
This Ramadan, we are coming together as a community to take a bold and necessary step toward securing a permanent home for the Downtown Denver Islamic Center (DDIC). For years, DDIC has served as a sanctuary for prayer, education, food relief, and vital community services. But the reality isour current space can no longer meet the growing needs of our community.
Why This Matters
- A Permanent Space for Worship & Spiritual Growth A dedicated masjid for prayer, gatherings, and Islamic learning, ensuring future generations have a place to connect with their faith.
- Expanded Community Services A larger location means we can increase food distribution, provide emergency financial assistance, and expand our Family Navigation program to help newcomers thrive.
- Classrooms & Youth Programs A space for Islamic studies, New American classes, mentorship programs, and youth development activities.
- Community-Owned & Operated This center will belong to usrun by the community, for the community. Owning, rather than renting, guarantees our presence in downtown Denver for decades to come.
The Goal: $250,000 This Ramadan
To take the first major step toward securing a new building, we must raise $250,000 during Ramadan 2025. This is part of a larger effort to raise meaningful funds, ensuring we can act decisively when the right location becomes available.
Your support is crucial.
Ramadan is the month of generosity, and your Zakat and Sadaqah can help build a lasting legacy.

Volunteer During Ramadan
The Downtown Denver Islamic Center increases its food programs during Ramadan, and volunteers are needed to support our community during this important, spiritual time.
Volunteers are needed for the Food Relief Program on March 15 and March 22, as well as Iftar community dinners which are hosted nightly during Ramadan.
Volunteer roles for the community dinners include delivering groceries to cook (flexible on day and time), picking up Iftar Food from cook (1 hour before Maghreb) and grocery shopping (flexible on day and time).
If you have already completed the volunteer application for the Food Relief Program, please commit to your volunteer shifts at the link below!

Thank you to Islamic Relief for donating more than 200 food boxes to support our Food Relief Program during Ramadan.
P.S. The simplest way to support the DDIC is to leave us a review on our Google profile. Please consider, as this will help us reach more people in Denver.
