Today is Ashura, a day of mercy. Will you be mercy for the ones who have no one?
Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters
Today is Ashura a sacred day when Allah showed His mercy to the oppressed, when He parted the sea for Musa (AS), and when He forgave entire nations.
It is a day to fast, reflect, and seek forgiveness.
It is also a day to give mercy to those who have no one else.
Right now in our community, new Muslims are facing heartbreaking rejection.
After taking their Shahada with joy in their hearts, many returned home to find the door shut.
-
One sister came home to find her belongings thrown outside.
-
One brother was told, Pick a religion or pick a roof.
-
Many are fasting today in silence, without shelter, without support, without a single person to say, "You are not alone."
At Masjid Al Farooq, we believe Shahada should come with family, not abandonment.
That is why we created the New Muslim Transitional Housing Program to provide the love, stability, and support every new Muslim deserves.
Today, on the Day of Ashura, you can be the answer to someone's cry for mercy.
Your donation helps provide:
Safe, Islamic housing
Daily warm meals
Spiritual mentorship
Job support
A true Muslim family
This is more than charity. It is Zakat, Sadaqah, and a living reflection of the mercy we seek from Allah.
**Give now,**and help someone go from rejection to renewal Starting today, on this day of Ashura.
