Jumuah Mubarak
Tomorrow is Ashura, the 10th of Muharramday that the Prophet never abandoned fasting [Sunan an-Nasa'i 2416]
On this day, Allah saved Prophet Musa, peace be upon him, and his people from the oppression of Pharaoh. When the Prophet Muammad arrived in Madinah and learned of this, he fasted in gratitude andsaid,
We are more worthy and closer to Musa than them.
Bukhari and Muslim
This isnt just history. Its a reminder.
A reminder thatAllah rescuesjust as He did for Musa, peace be upon him, at the edge of the seawhen every way appears closed, and help comes from where none imagined.
That He honors patience, trust, and submission. And that with hardship, there truly is easethough it may not always appear in the form we expect.
Fasting, as theQuran reminds us, is a path to taqwaGod-consciousness. To fast on this day is not only an act of gratitude, but also a profound expression of obedience and surrender.True victory comes only through Allahand through devotion to Him.
Even when Musa, peace be upon him, stood at the sea with no way forward, he did not waver.
Absolutely not! My Lord is certainly with meHe will guide me.
Quran 26:62
And with tomorrow comes a beautiful reward to begin the year on a clean slate:
It will expiate the sins of lastyear.
Sahih Muslim 1162
May your fast, dua, and remembrance be accepted and a means of nearness to the Most Merciful.
Jumuah Mubarak.
