This is the sacred month of Dhul Qadah
As the sacred month of Dhul Qadah unfolds, it invites us into a quieter kind of devotion one that isnt rushed, but rooted.
Its one of the four sacred months that Allah has honored, a time when good deeds weigh more heavily, and sins are more serious. These arent ordinary days. They are part of Allahs divine rhythm a season of mercy, reflection, and sincere turning back.
In this stillness, we are reminded that every deed is a means, not an end. Every prayer, every act of charity, every moment of patience theyre not simply boxes to check, but paths that lead to Allah.
Ustadh Tariq beautifully said in his last khutbah:
There is a hidden sweetness in that. When the heart is anchored in love, obedience no longer feels heavy. The prayer no longer feels long. The fast no longer feels draining.
Why?
Because the goal is no longer the deed its nearness to the One we love. And the more we taste that nearness, the more we begin to crave it.
So race to all that is good. (Quran 2:148)
And now, in this sacred month of Dhul Qadah that Allah Himself elevated, we're invited to elevate ourselves.
At the same time, were reminded to tread carefully. Just as rewards are heavier, so too are the consequences of sin. Do not wrong yourself in a time when Allah has surrounded you with mercy.
So bemindful. Guard your limbs. Watch what you say, where you go, what you look at, and what you listen to. Let your actions reflect the honor of these sacred days.
May we become people who hear and respond, people whose sincerity is proven by swift, quiet action.
JumuahMubarak.
