Takbir Al-Tashriq
Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim -
Takbir al- Tashriq, the recitation of Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallahu Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahil hamd after every Fardh Salaah commencing from the Fajr of the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah until after the Asr of the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah. (Shami vol. 1 pg. 406)
FEW MASAA'IL/ RULES PERTAINING TO THE TAKBIRAAT
Takbir-Tashriq is Wajib (incumbent) upon mature males and females.
It should be said once after every Fardh Salah.
The Takbir will be pronounced after every Salah from the Fajr of the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah ( Friday 6th June 2025 ) till after the Asr of the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah ( Tuesday 10th June ). For those following local Australian moon sighting**. T****his is 23 Salah in total.**
Women who are menstruating are not obliged to recite the Takbiraat.
One should recite the Takbir straight after saying salaam in Salah. If one forgets then remembers whilst seated on the Musallah and has not yet spoken to anyone, then he should recite the Takbir-e-Tashriq. However, if he has spoken or engaged in any worldly activity or moved away after the Fardh Salah, then the Wujoob of reciting the Takbir drops.
The Takbir will also be said after the Jumuah Salah and can be said after the Eid Salah as well.
The Takbir will not be said after the Witr Salah.
The Takbir will not be recited after Nawafil (optional) prayers.
Villagers, travelers and those who perform Salah individually are also obliged to say the Takbiraat.
If a person missed a Salah in the days of Tashriq and performed the Salah in the same days of the same year, he will say the Takbiraat.
If a person does Qadha of the Salah after the days of Tashriq, he will not recite the Takbiraat.
In the days of Tashriq if a person performs Qadha of a Salah which was missed before these days, he will not recite the Takbir after the Salah.
A woman will say the Takbir softly and men will say it audibly.
A person who joins the Jamaat late in the Masjid will say the Takbir after he has performed his Salah. He will also say it aloud.
