Ramadan at WIC

AsSalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatahu,

Ramadan Mubarak to you all!!!

As we draw closer to the blessed month, we ask Allah (swt) to allow us all to reach this Ramadan and benefit from all its blessings. May Allah (swt) accept our worship and duas during this Blessed Month.

WIC follows global moonsighting. We'll announce the start of Ramadan by noon on Friday, February 28. If the moon is sighted, taraweeh begins Friday night, and fasting starts Saturday. Otherwise, we will complete 30 days of Shaaban and the first day of fasting will be on Sunday, March 2.

More information about the Ramadan Program at WIC is included in this email. We are looking forward to welcoming you at WIC this year!

Below is a special message from our imams.

Special Guest this Ramadan

We are honored to welcome Sheikh Mahmoud as our special guest reciter this Ramadan.

A distinguished graduate of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, he memorized the Quran at an early age and holds a chain of transmission (Ijazah) in the recitation of Imam Asim through Hafs and Shubah. Sheikh Mahmoud has represented Egypt in numerous prestigious competitions, earning first place globally in both the Port Said International Competition and the International Ramadan Competition in Canada in 2021.

His beautiful recitation and deep connection to the Quran promise to make this Ramadan truly special for our community.
