Masjid Khadeejahs Construction Project Update - Feb 13, 2024

We hope this message finds you well and in the best of health and faith. Since our last communication in November 2023, we are pleased to report significant progress with the Masjid Khadeejah project, alhamdulillah. With Allah's grace, we have successfully secured two additional approvals from the necessary government offices, bringing our total to 10 out of the 13 required to commence construction, insha'Allah.
The approvals we are currently awaiting include (please refer to the project timeline matrix at the bottom of this email):
- Building Detailed Design;
- Site Development Permit; and
- Building Permit.
It's important to note that the review process for our building design will begin once we have the site development permit in hand, which we anticipate will take approximately two weeks, by Allahs will. Optimistically, if all proceeds as planned, we aim to initiate groundbreaking during the blessed month of Ramadan, inshaAllah!
Please remember that the timeline for these processes is largely beyond our control, as it depends on the schedules and priorities of government officials. Despite our best efforts to incorporate their feedback swiftly, the review times have occasionally exceeded our expectations.
Currently, our funds stand at approximately $650,000. To begin construction on this $4 million project, we require a minimum of $2 million. Therefore, aside from securing the remaining approvals, our immediate financial goal is to raise an additional $1.4 million, inshaAllah.
The journey towards building Masjid Khadeejah is a community effort, one that thrives on the generous contributions and unwavering support of individuals like you. As we continue to navigate this path, your continued duas, support, and donations are invaluable to us.
In the spirit of giving and with Ramadan upon us, we will, inshAllah, hold two fundraising events: one on the last Friday of Ramadan (April 5th) and another on the night of the 27th. As you plan your charitable contributions during this blessed month, we kindly ask you to keep Masjid Khadeejah in your thoughts and prayers.
