Your masjid is excited to announce the third year of Leaders of Tomorrow, a youth leadership development internship for students aged 15 - 18. This year-long internship aims to develop the next generation of qualified leaders to contribute to the community and Ummah as a whole.
The interns selected to participate in this program will receive training in leadership skills including (but not limited to) professionalism, public speaking, program development, and Islamic essentials. Your Masjid is excited to announce Quranic Quests halaqah for High School girls! This program will be hosted by Sr Eman Barakat, each week Sr Eman will cover selected verses of the Quran and offer background related to the verses, tafsir, linguistics, and reflections. Registration is highly encouraged.
IAR is excited to announce an Islamic Jeopardy competition for youth and families. Teams will compete against each to see who will win the prize! Competition will take place throughout October in sha'Allah. Study materials will be shared with those who are registered.

Your team may have mixed ages, but you will be placed based on the oldest team member. (If you have 5 elementary-age members and one middle school member, you will be placed in the middle/high category). An-Noor Chairperson Opening
The IAR seeks qualified candidates for the volunteer role of Chairperson of the An-Noor Quran Academy (ANQA) which is a full-time school and specializes in Quran memorization. ANQA has developed a unique program, tailored to Quran Hifdh as well as the academic needs of students. The academic curriculum meets the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSOS) requirements and the National Achievement Tests criteria. ANQA Board/Committee constitutes the governing board of the school under the Limited Liability Company (LLC) Operating Agreement and conducts the financial oversight, strategy, and policymaking for the school. The Chairperson of the ANQA is appointed by the Shura to a 3- year volunteer term to lead and facilitate the activities of the ANQA. Additionally, the Chairperson also serves as the Principal Manager of the LLC and has fiduciary and signature authority for ANQA and management of full-time and part-time staff. Seeking Nominations for IAR Committee Chair, Volunteer Positions
Your masjid relies on five core pillars that are each comprised of several committees helping to run all of its operations, programs, and services. Each committee has a chairperson, co-chair, and other volunteers who execute its assigned role and services to the IAR Community. The IAR Committee chairs are part of the Administration Team and serve under the CEO. A full list of the Five Pillars and the Committees can be accessed here.
IAR is now seeking applications from community members who are interested in serving as a "Chair" for the committees. Those interested in being considered by the Shura to serve as chair for any of these committees should send an email to [email protected] expressing their interest and the committee they would like to serve on.
