Shura Nominees Biography

Assalamu Alaikum MIA Community, 

We are pleased to announce the voting schedule and provide guidance for the upcoming election. Your participation is essential to ensuring a transparent and successful process.

Voting Dates and Times:

• Friday, December 6: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
• Saturday, December 7: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
• Sunday, December 8: 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Location: 2940 Eldorado Pkwy, McKinney, Texas 75070 (MIA)

How to Vote:

1. Voting will be conducted through ElectionBuddy, a secure and user-friendly system.
2. Please bring a valid form of photo identification (e.g., drivers license, passport, or ID card) to verify your eligibility.
3. Upon arrival, you will be guided through the voting process by a staff member or volunteer.

Important Notes:

• If you encounter any issues, the Election Committee will be available on-site to assist.
• Only 6 out of the 10 shura candidates have to be voted on.
• A list of active voting members is posted in the masjid prayer areas. Please check to confirm your name is included. If your name is not on the list, it means you are not an active voting member. The registration deadline to become a voting member was September 8, 2024.
