Early Voting for the General Public today, Friday, November 15, will now be from 2:00pm to 9:00pm.

Dear community members,

The IACC Election Commission would like to share the following updated timing: Early Voting for the General Public today, Friday, November 15, will now be from 2:00pm to 9:00pm.

The final day of Early Voting will be on Sunday, November 17 from 2:30pm to 6:00pm. The General Election/final voting day will be on Sunday, November 24 from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Information about the candidates can be found at the IACC Election Hub.

Below are instructions for casting your vote. Please read them carefully and follow them precisely. Failure to adhere to these instructions may result in your ballot being voided.

Instructions for Voting:

  1. Validate Membership: Well have personnel onsite to validate your membership and provide you with a ballot to cast your vote.

  2. Select Ameer: Choose your preferred candidate for Ameer.

  3. Select Shura Members: Select up to 6 candidates for the Shura Council. You may choose less than 6, but exceeding this limit will invalidate your ballot.

  4. Important: There is no quota or limit on how many candidates in a "category" (e.g. youth, sisters, etc.) you can vote for within your selection of Shura members as long as the total candidates you select on your ballot is six or less.

  5. Review and Submit: Carefully review your selections before filling in your choices.

Valid Ballot Scenarios:

  • Ameer Selected and 0 to 6 Shura Members Selected: Your vote will be counted in its entirety.
  • Ameer Not Selected and 0 to 6 members Selected: Your vote for Shura members will be counted.

Invalid Ballot Scenarios:

  • Ameer Selected & More than 6 Shura Members Selected: Your entire ballot will be voided.
  • Ameer Not Selected & More than 6 Shura Members Selected: Your entire ballot will be voided.

Important Notes:

  • Eligibility: Only registered members that reside within Collin County who have registered before May 24 2024 are eligible to vote.
  • Support: If you encounter any difficulties or have any questions, please reach out to one of the volunteers onsite.
