First Taraweeh Prayer: Sunday, March 10
SRVIC follows the Islamic calendar adopted by the Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA), headed by Dr. Yasir Qadhi. It is based on calculations with Ittihadul-Mataali' concept, for the sake of global unity. FCNA decided to follow the fatwa of The European Council for Fatwa and Research (ECFR), issued by the late Dr. Yusuf Qaradawi which states that the sighting was not a requirement but just the means of ascertaining the beginning for a new month, and that is now attained by exact calculations.

Du'a Request
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of Br. Badar-ul-Islam on 14th Feb in Hyderabad, India. He was the father of Asim Siddiqui, father-in-law of Fatima Ehsan and grandfather of Ammar Siddiqui & Maryam Siddiqui.
We pray to Allah ( Subhanahu Wa Taala ) to forgive the deceased and shower him with His mercy. Raise his ranks among those who are guided, admit him into Paradise, and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Hell-Fire. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends, and pray to Allah to grant them strength and patience during this difficult time.
