Dear Community Members,

Salaamun alaikum, may Allah bless you and your family on these auspicious days of Eid!

It is with immense pleasure and honor that I share with you some of our remarkable student achievements at RISE Academy this past school year.

University Admissions: Top Universities

By the grace of Allah, RISE graduates have an outstanding track record of being accepted into top universities. This year, every single one of our 15 seniors from the Class of 2024 successfully completed their graduation requirements and further earned acceptance into renowned universities, with many securing coveted spots in highly competitive fields such as computer science and biology. Three of our graduates have been accepted into UC Berkeley and will be attending this Fall. In addition, our students have received thousands of dollars in scholarships. We are very proud of our new alumni, mashAllah!

National Merit Scholar: Hayaan Imam Rizvi

Many congratulations to high school senior graduate and class valedictorian, Hayaan Imam Rizvi, who is a recipient of the 69th Annual National Merit Scholarship Program! This prestigious scholarship is awarded to less than one percent of top-performing high school students across the nation on the basis of strong academic records, recommendations, a written essay, and standardized test scores. Congratulations Hayaan!

NSDA Achievement: Zahra Sabri

We are thrilled to congratulate sophomore Zahra Sabri, who represents RISE Academy as part of the National Speech and Debate Association(NSDA). Zahra placed 6th in the statewide competition, and went on to represent RISE at the national competition in Iowa in June! Being one of only a few sophomores to reach the national level of competition is a remarkable achievement. Congratulations Zahra!

International Speaking Competition: Aala Rezaian and Finalist Wafi Abbas Syed

Our RISE students did a fabulous job representing our school at the WISE Talks public speaking competition in Karbala, Iraq! We are so proud of them for their hard work, dedication, and passion for their topics. Congratulations Aala Rezaian (10th Grade) for coming home with the first-place trophy and to Wafi Abbas Syed (7th Grade) for becoming a finalist!
