HAJJ PREP WORKSHOP WITH SHAYKH FAIYAZ JAFFER
Monday, May 12th | 6:00PM (Online, Link shared after registration)
From the east to the west, when the call is made, millions converge to the Holy City seeking true love and proximity to their Creator. God states, And proclaim among men the Pilgrimage: they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, coming from every remote path.
The Hajj pilgrimage has many unique dimensions: the spiritual, the communal, the legal...but the intention for all is to know our self, and at the same time, have the ability to recognize our Lord. For those who are performing the pilgrimage this upcoming year, or for those who do not have the ability to do so, our hearts and minds should be fixated on fulfilling that intention of seeking Him.
Join Sheikh Faiyaz online, May 12 at 6:00PM for a seminar on preparing for the Hajj pilgrimage for those who have the ability to attend this year. And if you are unable to go this upcoming year, hopefully we can use this seminar to learn about the Hajj rituals and find the inspiration to go in the upcoming years inshallah.

HAJJ PREP WORKSHOP WITH IMAM KHALID LATIF
Tuesday, May 13th | 6:00PM | Prayer Room 472
Every year, Muslims travel to observe the pilgrimage (Hajj), recommitting themselves to the sacred, religious rites, faithful rituals, sincere ethics and morals: Gods transcendence, Prophecy, minimalism, denouncing extravagance, justice, equality, selflessness, environmental resilience, and charity. Thus, a pilgrims status is a great one. The Prophet (PBUH) said, Pilgrims are the guests of Allah. He called them, and they answered Him. They ask from Him, and He gave them.
But for many, while the Hajj is undoubtedly exciting, its performance can be a mystery, even intimidating. The ICNYU hopes to ease those concerns by hosting our annual Hajj workshop for those who adhere to the Sunni schools of Fiqh, this Tuesday, May 13. Join Imam Khalid as he walks you through the performance of Hajj as well as answers your questions and concerns.
