Salam brothers and sisters,
We have an update for the Miftaah Institute Speaker event coming on Nov 9th. The speaker has been changed to Mufti Sultan Mohiuuddin Mohammed and Khaled Askar. We are excited about the speaker event as its the most important and biggest Islamic event of the semester. The event is a collaboration with one of the most prominent Islamic organizations, Miftaah Institute. During the event a film documentary, RESILIENT SMILES (2024), will be presented. The film was shot across Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon through heartfelt interviews, witness the profound impact of the war in Palestine on inspiring individuals showcasing their resilience and unwavering spirit in the face of adversity.
"Truth and justice are what fortify our communities, build trust among individuals, and uphold the moral fabric of society. As Muslims, we are called not only to practice truthfulness and seek justice in our own lives but also to advocate for these values in the world around us. Join us for our upcoming Miftaah Seminar as we delve into the importance of speaking out to uphold justice as Muslims.
A fundraiser will also be held at the event through the Palestine Aid Society of America. The money will go to Palestinian refugees in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. Tickets will be $15, and you can use the link down below to RSVP or scan QR Code. If anyone cannot afford a ticket, don't hesitate to contact the MSA board, and we will waive the ticket.
