Reminder: ISAK General Assembly Meeting Today, Sunday Nov. 17 at 5:30 PM

Dear ISAK Community,

As-salamu 'alaykum!

This is a friendly reminder that the Islamic Society of Akron and Kent (ISAK) General Assembly Meeting will take place today, Sunday, November 17 at 5:30 PM, at the Islamic Community Center.

The meeting will include updates from the President and Board of Directors, as well as presentations on the proposed revisions to the ISAK Constitution and Bylaws. The ISAK Board has overwhelmingly made a negative recommendation for action on the proposed amendments, and ISAK leadership will provide its rationale for this decision during todays meeting. Those proposing the amendments will also be given the opportunity to present their case.

For the proposed amendments to be considered, a quorum of one half (1/2) of all Active Members must be present at todays meeting. An affirmative vote of two thirds (2/3) of the Active Members present will be necessary for the adoption of the amendments.

If a quorum of one half (1/2) of all Active Members is not present, a second meeting will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2024, at which the Active Members present will constitute the required quorum. At the second meeting, an affirmative vote of two thirds (2/3) of those Active Members present will still be necessary for adoption of the amendments.
