Reminder: Fast July 4th & 5th in observance of Aashooraa

Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh dear brothers and sisters,

At the moment we are in the month of al-Muharram. The tenth day of al-Muharram is the Day of 'Aashoorah (coinciding with Saturday, July 5th, 2025. If you keep a fast for the sake of Allaah on this day, the reward inshaa-Allaah is forgiveness for sins of the previous year). It is also from the Sunnah to fast the day before it, the ninth of al-Muharram coinciding with Friday July 4th, 2025 inshaa-Allaah.

The month of al-Muharram is also a month of optional fasting in general.

Also remember that the only authentic, specific religious observance on the day of Aashooraa is fasting. The day is not to be taken as a special day of celebration, as is done by the Sufi cults, nor as a day of mourning and self-flagellation, as is done by the Raafidah Shia. Islam is free from such baseless actions. Every innovation in worship is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Hellfire.
