Al Salam Ramadan Information
SubhanAllah, the Blessed Month of Ramadan is almost here! Al Salam is excited to announce some of its Ramadan Programming. Please note, there will be additional programs to follow, as the month progresses. For now, please take a look at what is happening.
May Allah (swt) allow us to see this Ramadan, may He accept our duas and fasts during this blessed month, may He give us the opportunity to have many Ramadans to come, and may He allow us to increase in benefit between each Ramadan. Ameen!
Our March potkluck before Ramadan begins, will be March 8th. Imam Anisse will be giving a Khatira on: "Can my Zakat money go towards the ILC Fundraising?" Here is the signup genius for that potluck.
During the month of Ramadan, there will be 3 Friday Iftar Potlucks. Please keep an eye out for the signup genius for each Iftar. It is important for everyone to sign up for a dish, as space will be limited and an accurate count of food should be determined. JazakAllah Kheirun
Saturday, March 9th: Ramadan Activity Day for boys & girls aged 3-11. This event will include activities, preparing for Ramadan and snacks! The event will be from 12-2 pm at the Al Salam Foundation. The event is free, but space is limited. There will only be 12 spots per age category. Click here for more information and signup.
Saturday, March 16th: ILC Fundraiser Iftar at Alhuda
This event is to bring the surrounding communities together to help support the ILC. Space is limited, and tickets are required to purchase. There will be limited babysitting available as well. Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased here.
Saturday, March 30th: ILC Annual Gala at 502 Event Center
Do not miss our annual gala fundraising iftar! This iftar has become a wonderful tradition filled with our amazing community and surrounding communities coming together to help bring the ILC to fruition. With your generous support and Allah (swt's) guidance, we are making this dream a reality. Tickets will be on sale soon. Please keep an eye out.
Before you go, more information you should know:
- Taraweh will have 20 rak'aats this year versus the previous years of 8. The first Taraweh will take place Sunday, March 10th, the first fast will be Monday March 11th, inshAllah.
- There will be no Al Salam Suhoor/Iftar sheet this year. Rather, we will be using the Athan+ app, where one can look up the timings.
- Eid will be scheduled at Grand Park, in Westfield, Indiana
- Qiyaams and other Ramadan scheduled programming will be added as the month continues, inshAllah.
