ISD Parking & Safety Updates

[Use Designated Crosswalks on Salem Church Road]
For the safety of all our community members, we urge everyone to use the designated crosswalks on Salem Church Road. Parking across the road from ISD? Please cross at the designated crosswalk only, and avoid crossing through moving traffic. The average speed of cars in this area can exceed 45 mph, making it critical to prioritize safety. During busy events, wait for the guard to stop traffic and signal you to cross safely.

[Salem Church Road Corridor Study Results]
The Department of Transportation recently held a public meeting, attended by over 40 ISD members, to discuss proposed safety improvements, including sidewalks, crosswalks, and left turn lanes. These changes have already enhanced parking flow, reduced complaints, and improved overall safety. Scan the QR Code below to view the study results and public survey comments.

Volunteer Opportunity
Do you want to contribute to improving our community’s safety? We welcome your input! Text Br. Ahmed Marshall at (302) 547-2503 to get involved.

Support our students during Ramadan

Ramadan is a time of reflection, community, and support. As the Muslim students at the University of Delaware and Delaware State University observe this sacred month, let’s come together to support them in meaningful ways. Whether it’s joining an Iftar meal, offering words of encouragement, or simply being mindful of their fasting commitments, small gestures can make a big difference. Let’s foster an inclusive and welcoming environment where our future members and leaders  feel valued and supported.
