We would like to invite you to our annual Khatam in Taraweeh & Du'a tonight!
Tonight!
Join us for Khatam al-Qur'an in Ramadan
Tonight at 9:15 p.m., Qari Amar Bellaha leads the blessed occasion of our annual Qur'an Khatam (the completion of the Qur'an) during Taraweeh.
Due to the heavy Taraweeh attendance, we request that you:
- Please arrive early for space in the Prayer Hall. Once full, volunteers will direct you into the overflow indoor worship space;
- Once the MCC facility is at capacity at about 8:50 p.m., parking lot volunteers will seal the lot and direct worshipers to our parallel off-site Taraweeh prayer at Hart Middle School's multipurpose room. Qari Tayeb Bouamama leads this service. If you plan to arrive after 9 p.m., please head directly to Hart Middle School.
- Please use our babysitting service. Volunteers will place unattended children (ages 2 to 11) in our babysitting service;
- Parents of teens (ages 11+): Please have your teen daughter or son join you in tonight's auspicious worship, and do not leave teenagers unsupervised.
- Please place your shoes in the shoe cabinets or outside the facility entrances in the marked area. Shoes placed elsewhere present a trip hazard during an emergency;
- Please bring your reusable water bottle and stay hydrated with cool water from one of our filling stations. No one-time-use plastic bottles please;
- Please follow instructions from parking volunteers, and please carpool;
- Use crosswalks on W. Las Positas Blvd. Do not jaywalk. We will have a police presence;
- Please be respectful of our volunteers and follow their instructions.
Qari Amar's closing dua will last about 30 minutes (while standing) in the last rakat of Taraweeh tonight. If you cannot stand that long, please sit or grab a chair. Dr. Ali Ataie will follow with a closing dua in English.
MCC volunteers will distribute baklava to celebrate this auspicious night outside and at the entrances.
Ramadan Gratitude
Alhamdulliah, we asked, and you answered!
With your support, we are nearing our annual Zakat goal this Ramadan.
In these blessed final days of Ramadan, please help us reach the final goal. Don't let this Ramadan pass without sowing a seed for a worthy cause.
Give your Zakat locally with the Muslim Community Center - East Bay and help support 1000+ families with rent, utilities, and other needs. Your generosity in Ramadan allows us to sustain this critical lifeline.
The local need is real.
Be the means to help your local neighbor.
Your generosity tonight could unlock the doors of forgiveness and divine favor.
May God send someone just as helpful as you in your time of need. Allah Humma Ameen (O Allah, hear this prayer).
This Sunday or Monday Morning!
*Pending moonsighting, join one of six Eid al-Fitr Prayers
Thank you for another beautiful Ramadan together in the community!
According to the regional moonsighting, MCC will celebrate Eid ul-Fitr 25 with six prayer services on Sunday, March 30, or Monday, March 31.
Pending moonsighting shortly after sunset on Saturday, March 29, MCC will send a newsletter announcement (and update our homepage).
Please pay your households Zakat ul-Fitr ($12/person) before Eid prayers.
With heartfelt du'as,
MCC East Bay Team
