OPERATIONS MANAGER

East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team.  The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of East Plano Islamic Center, ensuring smooth, efficient, and mission-aligned activities. They will be responsible for managing administrative, logistical, and operational functions while ensuring compliance with Islamic values and principles. The role involves coordinating between departments, optimizing processes, and supporting strategic initiatives to achieve the organization's goals.

 Job Requirements:

• Operational Leadership:

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with the organizations and board vision, mission, and Islamic values.

• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for maximum efficiency.

• Monitor and evaluate operational performance and recommend improvements.

• Staff and Volunteer Coordination:

• Supervise, mentor, and support staff and volunteers to ensure a productive work environment.

• Develop and manage training programs to enhance team skills and alignment with organizational values.

• Process Analysis and Optimization:

• Conduct regular reviews of existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and redundancies.

• Collaborate with team members and department leads to document and analyze key operational processes.

• Program and Event Management:

• Coordinate with EPIC's event coordinator to ensure events and activities are organized according to the guidelines and are well-executed and impactful.

• Work with program coordinators to align events with community needs and organizational goals.

• Streamline processes.

• Budget and Resource Management:

• Oversee operational budgets to ensure effective utilization of resources.

• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure fiscal responsibility.

• Facilities and Logistics Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and use of facilities, ensuring compliance with established protocols.

• Manage vendor contracts, procurement, and supplies.

• Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

• Prepare operational reports for the leadership team and Board of Directors.

• Crisis and Risk Management

• Develop and implement contingency plans for operational disruptions.

• Identify risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, project management, or leadership roles.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in financial and operational management software.

• Ability to lead diverse teams with a collaborative approach.

• Knowledge of Islamic principles and practices.

Compensation:

This is a full-time position where the candidate is going to be requested to work up to 40 hours a week. Evening or Weekend work may be required for events and programs. The pay rate will be discussed with the candidate during the interview process after we receive the resumes.
