According to the Islamic calendar, we are currently in the month of Rabi Al-Thani, which began on October 4th. Rabi Al-Thani, also known as Rabi Al-Akhirah, translates to "The Second Spring." This name reflects the pre-Islamic Arab practice of naming months based on the seasons. However, since the Islamic calendar follows a lunar system, shifting approximately 10–11 days earlier each year, the names of the months no longer correspond to the seasons or weather they were originally associated with. Rabi Al-Thani is a time to maintain and increase our acts of worship, including reading the Quran, giving Sadaqah, and engaging in Dhikr. This month offers an opportunity to reflect on the first few months of the Islamic year and to increase our worship.
