NAMCCs New Initiative: Eliminating Single Use Plastic Water Bottles

In Surah Al-A'raf (7:31), Allah says: "O children of Adam! Take your adornment at every masjid and eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess."

In our joint commitment to champion sustainability and align with the principles of the Quran, we are thrilled to introduce an environmentally conscious initiative for the upcoming potluck night, coinciding with the onset of Ramadan! This marks a permanent shift at NAMCC, as we strive to completely phase out the use of single-use plastic water bottles.

We kindly urge everyone to bring their personal water bottles to the event. We've set up ample water tanks for convenient refilling of your reusable bottles throughout the night. We will not be passing out water bottles. This collective small step holds significant environmental impact, aligning with our role as custodians of the Earth. Come together, enjoy delicious meals, and make the most of the evening while staying mindful of our ecological footprint.
