The 2024 NICC Board Elections will be resumed soon. Three (3) new board members will be elected to replace current members whose terms will expire.
If you are interested in serving on the board, please fill out the NICC Board of Directors Application for Candidacy Online Form. Click here for application.
Eligibility requirements are listed below. Nominations will be accepted until Friday June 28th, 2024. After applications are reviewed, eligible candidates will be notified to appear in the 2024 NICC Board Elections open public forum on Friday July 12th.
After the forum, three candidates will be selected by an electronic voting process from Monday July 15th - Friday July 26th. Election results will be announced in the ENN inshallah.
If you have any questions, please contact the NICC Election committee at [email protected] as paper ballots will not be available. Election committee will communicate with voting members via email. If you are a voting member and you don't receive such communication by July 13th then please reach out to [email protected] to verify your contact information and eligibility to vote.

Board of Director Eligibility:
- Be a practicing Muslim;
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age;
- Reside within sixty (60) miles of Noor;
- Be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States of America;
- Have demonstrated commitment to the NICC through volunteerism and/or through monetary contribution;
- Have been a NICC member for the past Two years.
Background/Ethnicity requirements for 2024 candidates:
- To ensure diversity within the board the NICC bylaws limit the maximum number of members of a single background/ethnicity to Five (5). In 2024, the following applies:
- No members from an Indo/Pak/Bengali background can be elected as 5 currently serve on the board.
- No more than Three (3) members can be elected from an African background as 2 currently serve on the board.
- No more than One (1) member can be elected from an Arabs/North African background as 4 currently serving on the board. (background other than the ones listed
- No more than Three (3) can be elected from the "Other" background as 1 currently serves on the board.

Noor Boys Full-time
Hifz Teacher Position
The Full-time Boys Hifz Program is looking for a qualified person to teach students in this program

Qualifications (included but are not limited to):

Memorized the whole Quran with certification from a recognized Hifz school;

Having an Ijazah will be a plus
-
Be excellent in recitation of the Quran with correct Muharez and Tajweed
-
Have teaching experience in a Hifz school/program
-
Have educational background in Islamic Studies
-
Have minimum US equivalent High School degree; having a college degree will be a plus
-
Be able to communicate with students in English clearly
-
Have good writing skill in English
-
Have basic computer skills such as Microsoft word and excel to write emails memos and maintain records

Responsibilities (included but are not limited to):

Teach memorization of the Quran with correct Mukharej and Tajweed

Teach basics of Islam
-
Develop and implement curriculum and class plans
-
Develop, plan and implement extra-curricular activities
-
Teach students individually or in group
-
Maintain a pleasant learning environment
-
Communicate, coordinate and interact with parents and school administration
-
Maintain teaching related record
