The Noor Community Clinic also known as the Muslim Clinic Of Ohio at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is in need of licensed Physicians with staff privileges at any hospital who are Specialists or Internists or Hospitalists or Family Practitioners in good standing who can volunteer at the clinic at least once in 4 -5 weeks as their time permits from 5:00 to 9 pm on Wednesday Evenings.You will find extreme satisfaction baraka and blessings in serving our patients and saving lives.

We also need licensed Registered Nurses who can dedicate their services for Allah (swt) on Wednesday evenings at the Noor Clinic which operates once a week from 5 -9 PM at Rardin Family practice center and receive the blessings and baraka from Allah (swt).

Winter illness Precautions :
Inorder to prevent Viral Illnesses and the discomforts and mortalities and morbidities arising from it , please do the following and stay healthy.

Get your Flu vaccine, Covid Vaccine, and for older individuals above 60 years RSV vaccine. The Vaccines are available Free Of Charge at the Health department for those who are uninsured . The Vaccines are also available at any of your local Pharmacies and your Primary Care doctor's office.. Please call, make the appointment and get your vaccines soon . before it is too late..
Pneumonia Vaccine especially for those individuals who have not had it before .
If you are sick -running a fever and coughing a lot , please stay home and get better soon with appropriate meds and nutritious food,fresh juices (Vit C)and chicken soup ! Please don't bring Sick Babies and Toddlers and Children to the masjid as their symptoms could get worse and they will infect others too and get them sick .
If you have a poor immune System and are afraid of catching infections please wear a mask during the winter season.You may also bring your own prayer rug inorder to be more cautious and prevent illnesses, or transmit illness to others .
Try not to shake hands during the flu Season if you are possibly sick or getting over illness as you could transmit the infection to your friend !
Look after yourselves and your family and reach out to your neighbors or Friends who are Seniors who may need a little help or support from you especially during the Winter months . May Allah (swt) protect us all always and shower His Blessings upon All.

In Shaa Allah, we will be serving the hot meal dinner at YWCA Family shelter on January 20th, 2024. We are expecting to serve approximately 150 meals to families (kids/women/men) staying in YWCA Family Shelter.

Custodial Job Opening

We are looking for a responsible custodian to maintain and protect our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building is reflected on the occupants. It is important for a custodian to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises, as well as preventing vandalism.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.

Responsibilities

Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
Wipe mirrors and windows
Maintain outer premises by cleaning/salting entrances
Report major damages and oversee repairs
Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors and closing windows
Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks (shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, moving chairs etc.)

Requirements and skills

Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices
Attention to detail and conscientiousness
Very good physical condition and strength
High school diploma is preferred but not required
40 Hours a week, Days of operations will be determined
