Dear IALFM Community Members: Assalam-o-Alaikum!
We are writing to seek your support in electing new directors for four (4) open positions in the IALFM Board of Directors for the upcoming 2025-26 term.
The following four (4) directors are completing their terms by 12/31/2024.
1. Br. Harris Khan (eligible for nomination/re-election)
2. Br. Lisanul Haque (wants to leave at the end of this year)
3. Br. Nusrat Atta (not available for nomination/re-election)
4. Sr. Kulsum Pirbhai (not available for nomination/re-election)
On behalf of the IALFM community, we thank them for their commitment, contributions and services to the community, may Allah reward them - Aameen!
The other three directors, i.e. Br Razaq Khazi-Syed, Br Masud Rahman & Br Firoz Vohra (elected for 2024-25 term), still have one year left in their terms, so they'll continue to serve in the Board.
Per our constitution, IALFM is holding an election for available positions in the Board and through this email, we seek your nominations for open positions.
Nomination Process
As a registered member of IALFM, you are hereby requested to nominate yourself or other members as candidates for open positions. Please read & follow the instructions carefully.
1. Eligible candidates should be registered members of IALFM as per the list linked below. A member can also nominate him or herself (self-nomination is allowed).
2. If you need to verify your or your nominee's membership status, a current Members List is available here (click to open the PDF document).
3. The easiest way to show your interest to serve or to nominate someone (up to 5 members) is to reply to this email (or send an email to [email protected]) & share the name of each nominee. The nomination form is also available over here (click to open the PDF document). Please download, fill & return the completed form (with your nominations) electronically via email to the Election Commission at [email protected]
4. In order to complete the election process in time, please submit your nomination(s) no later than Sunday November 24, 2024. Any nomination received after this date will not be considered for elections.
5. The Election Commission will validate eligibility of those nominated and then verify interest and availability of the nominees. If more than four eligible nominees are willing to serve, then Election Commission will proceed with the electronic voting process.
Please note, eligible candidates for the Board Election must be registered members of IALFM for at least one year and you cannot nominate members of the Election Commission for open Board positions.
