American Muslim Appreciation & Awarness Month
April 2025
SALAM joined city officials, community leaders, and organizations across Sacramento in recognizing April as American Muslim Appreciation and Awareness Month (AMAAM).
The City of Sacramentos resolution highlighted the rich legacy, achievements, and ongoing contributions of American Muslims, from civic leadership and education to economic growth, humanitarian service, and cultural enrichment.
We thank the City of Sacramento for this recognition, and we extend our gratitude to CAIR-Sacramento Valley/Central California, and the many organizations who work tirelessly to support and uplift the Muslim community in our region.
We are proud to stand with our community, honoring the past and building toward a future rooted in justice, compassion, and unity.
Community Food Drive
Sunday, May 4th at 10 am
Join us for a special community food drive at ARC Stadium Parking organized by Al-Misbaah to support those in need! We encourage everyone to take advantage of this resource and help spread the word to those who may benefit from it.
Volunteers are needed to help set up, distribute food, and assist families. Please be there at 8 am.

It came to my mind that such a tree must be the date palm, but seeing Abu Bakr and `Umar saying nothing, I disliked to speak. So when they did not say anything, Allah's Messenger () said, "It is the date-palm tree.
